This Privacy Policy explains how Tapan Naik, trading as Karigar OS (“Karigar OS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our platform at karigar-os.vercel.app, including our website, dashboard, and any store created through our service (“the Service”).

1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information from Sellers (Store Owners)
When you sign up and use Karigar OS to create and run a store, we collect:
- From Google Sign-In: your name, email address, and profile photo, as provided by Google.
- Business/profile information you provide: business or owner name, contact phone number, business address, GST number (if provided), and store branding details (logo, colors, store description).
- Store and product data: product listings, prices, images, and inventory you create.
- Order and transaction data: orders placed on your store, customer details associated with those orders, and payment status (payment processing itself is handled by our payment partner, Razorpay — see Section 3).
1.2 Information from Customers (Buyers)
When you place an order on a store hosted on Karigar OS, we collect:
- Name, phone number, email (if provided), and delivery address.
- Order details: items purchased, quantities, and amounts.
- Payment is processed directly by Razorpay; we do not store your full card or bank details.
1.3 Automatically Collected Information
We may collect limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, for the purpose of maintaining security, diagnosing technical issues, and improving the Service.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Create and manage seller accounts and stores.
- Process and fulfill orders, including generating invoices.
- Send order confirmations, shipping updates, and account-related notifications.
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security issues.
- Improve and maintain the Service.
- Comply with applicable legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services We Use
We rely on trusted third-party providers to operate the Service. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:

If you close your account, we may retain certain order/transaction records as required by applicable law (e.g., GST record-keeping requirements).
5. Your Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data, subject to our legal retention obligations.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

6. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure database access controls, and not storing sensitive payment card data on our own servers. The Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
